Many people are under the misconception that it costs thousands of ££££ to create and maintain a website. 
It’s just not true.
In fact, you can build a website for absolutely nothing. Free!
Yep, there are free website builders and even free hosts. Of course, there are hurdles you’ll have to get over or around if you use a free site and free hosting.
For example, if you choose to host your blog on WordPress it doesn’t cost you a dime. However, your website address will have WordPress in it. For example, www.wordpress.org/yourwebsiteurl.
That’s not great for branding or for driving traffic.
You can pay a little bit for hosting each year and create your own website using a template/theme using the wordpress software. In fact, many hosting companies offer templates that you can customise to fit your needs. I personally wouldnt go for this option
You can also use a software program like WordPress or Dreamweaver to create your website. With this option you’ll pay for using the Dreamweaver software, a few hundred £££, and hosting.
You can outsource the building of your website. This choice can cost you anywhere from a few hundred pounds to a few thousand if your site has a lot of complexity or an ecommerce site with hundreds of pages.
So you really do have a wide variety of choices. You can spend nothing and create a website or you can spend a few hundred pounds. Base your decision on your time, budget, and website needs.
